Why self-publishers should be in the know about self-publishing. Don’t go fishing if you are not ready to seriously publish.
I like to call myself a WASPE, acronym for a WRITER, an AUTHOR, the hardworking SELF-PUBLISHER and the savvy ENTREPRENEUR.
There are two kinds of people: procrastinators and go-getters. Which one will you be?
If you are ready to publish your book be serious about it. Sit down and draw up a plan and a timeframe with all the details included.

Marketing and Promoting – the hardest but the most rewarding.
Planning is of critical importance. Be it for three months or a year, but put together a plan and stick to it if you want to see your book printed and succeed as a serious author.
I’ve become a pro at weeding out people who call me on a fishing expedition. What do you tell someone who calls you up saying they want t be a writer overnight? Write, write and write. Learn continuously and be open to new ideas. Then again the serious ones are the ones with the deadlines looking for illustrators, cover designs, ISBNs and printers.
Call me or e-mail me when you are ready. You don’t have time to waste; neither do I.
This brings me to a story about a woman who called me at 9.30PM a few months ago. She said she had seen my article on the local magazine and wanted to publish a book herself. After repeatedly asking her how I could help her I realized this woman was going on a rant about how the whole world was out to get her. She said she was in her 60’s and people were jealous of her achievements. If I were not a nice person I would have hung up on her but I’m not. I’m polite and courteous so I had to listen to her for one and a half hours. She probably just needed a shoulder to cry on and my face on the magazine probably caught her eyes. I may do it differently if she calls back again.
I believe in content marketing therefore I have provided tons of information on my website for the serious self-publisher to be educated. Since there are countless vanity presses out to get the self-publisher, please do your research. The Writer Beware link offers all that you need to know to self-publish safely; avoiding pitfalls. Your self-published book has to stand out, far superior if not in par to the traditionally published ones. No need to learn the hard way at all. Learn from mistakes made by others.
I’m here to help you self-publish. Contact me for any help you may need.
