Let’s make meaningful business connections!
The first “annual” École Pine Grove School’s Marché took place on October 2, 2013 and was hosted by the Parent Council, coinciding with Meet the Teacher day.
Taking place in the school gym; it’s purpose to bring the community together to showcase the community’s skills, talents, products and services. It was a treasure trove for mumpreneurs and small business owners.
We can definitely count on it being bigger and better next year.
We had a great turnout with many curious parents and students.
Did I hear someone say, “I should have taken part.”
Proceeds from sales from this event were shared between the Halton Learning Foundation and Pine Grove’s Global Issues Club.
Let’s take a moment to step away from social media networks and make connections the old fashioned way.
I would love to meet the neighbors during a square dance but that’s unlikely to happen so…
Let’s shake hands, say hello to our neighbors and let’s make meaningful connections. As a tight-knit community we can make a difference.
It all starts with one person and one act that make a huge difference.
Walk through the neighborhood.
When you sprint, you put flyers up on every door you pass.
When you walk, you build relationships, with people, one at a time.
When you sprint, you start rushing and do things you wouldn’t normally do, like spamming people.
When you walk, you find out what is important to people first and then, show them how you can help them.
When you sprint, you seem desperate and pushy.
When you walk, you seem genuine and helpful. —Jenny Blake
