The arrival of fall showcases mother nature\u2019s best colours. Imagine her swirling in all her glory with silky hair of gold, yellow, orange, red, purple and green.<\/p>\n

Amazingly after an incredibly hot and gorgeous summer, full of sunshine, I am ready for a cool down.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mind you, the fall decorations have been up since September 8^{th<\/sup>, prompting my neighbours to question my loyalty to the hot weather. It seems the decorations reminded them of the snow and the cold to come.<\/p>\n}

 <\/p>\n

Forget the snow and the cold. Be a part of what is now, breathe in the crisp autumn air.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Drop everything that you are doing, run outside, look above and listen to the cackling of the Canada geese flying in their \u201cV\u201d formation. We are fortunate to have such a sight.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Pack your best spirit and take that long hike on a breathtaking trail, while the land goes into a rejuvenation mode. Feel the leaves crumple beneath your feet. The land is going to sleep soon.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There are so many good things to look forward to, like taking a huge bite out of that pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving\u2014which is just around the corner. Don\u2019t let it creep up on you.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s not forget our countdown to All Hallow\u2019s Eve and the 13 days of Halloween, full of spookiness and children\u2019s laughter.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I had just about had it with the squirrels hording their nuts on top of the propane tank in the barbeque and in my flower pots, when it dawned on me\u2026 I can collect all these nuts to add to my fall decor. Sorry Squeeks, you\u2019re not going to remember where you hid the nuts anyway. It evens things out between us, since you guys have been running away with my Indian corn.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As Uncle Donald would say, \u201cembrace the seasons as they come, don\u2019t push, sit back and just enjoy it, come sunshine or sleet and ice.\u201d Rest in peace Uncle Donald, we miss you very much.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Stop complaining about the weather. Stop complaining about going to work in the dark and coming home after dark. Stop complaining about sleeping an hour less.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mother Nature is a powerful force to enumerate with. She knows what she is doing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

She has always been here and she will be here when we are gone. She\u2019s been doing it forever with check and balances in place at every corner of the universe.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I bet most of you know Winter Solstice this year falls on December 21^{st<\/sup> marking the shortest day in North America. But did you know, that just when the cold dark days envelopes us, the days start getting longer and longer.<\/p>\n}

 <\/p>\n

She knows what she is doing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A great time to write and publish another book, I might say.<\/p>\n
