<\/a>\u00a0Happy New Year all!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
I\u2019m a meticulous organizer. I love making the to-do list and crossing off the done deeds.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s how I manage my busy day- to-day schedule.<\/p>\n
Every year I write down a list of New Year resolutions that I strive to achieve for that year. As most of us, some years my rate of achievement is better than others.<\/p>\n
I do try and check my list from time to time during the course of the year.<\/p>\n
I set achievable goals for me, my writing and for my business.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve given up on some resolutions while pursued others with a vengeance.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I watched a self-help documentary once where a man walked through a cemetery and pointed to the headstones. He started by reading the names and went on to say that the cemetery is the place where someone would find dead dreams. Each headstone had unachieved dreams. A long list of dreams never achieved due to limitations, excuses and barriers we impose upon ourselves.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
When it\u2019s my time to leave I want to be able to say that I lived a good, fulfilled happy life with my family and friends.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
That was reason enough for me to work harder to achieve my dreams.<\/p>\n
I told myself I will try, and if I should fail at least I can write about it.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Start a new slate with carrying forward old resolutions into the New Year.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
From a stay at home mom with a part-time job, I\u2019m an author, a writer, a blogger, a self-publishing consultant and an entrepreneur.<\/p>\n
I finally learned a new language \u2013 French, which only motivates me to learn two more languages. I think I\u2019ll learn Spanish next.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
As usual I became another year wiser and younger in December.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Since I was diligent in my New Year resolutions; without realizing it, I had actually been accomplishing my bucket list little by little as the years rolled by.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
So drop everything you are doing right now and make \u201cthat list\u201d.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t wait, don\u2019t plan or put the bucket list away\u2026 you may just run out of time.<\/p>\n
Go ahead and publish your book.<\/p>\n
\u2026and, stop listening to dream crushers.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t do it just because someone else thinks you can\u2019t do it.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Amongst my many resolutions, I have a dream\u2026it\u2019s a big dream.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t know how or when but one day I hope to start my soup kitchen and feed hundreds of hungry mouths with my delicious soups. I\u2019ve always wanted to do it.<\/p>\n
It will be my biggest achievement yet.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
For those of us who have not tried it or keep putting it off, lets start right now by making a difference in someone\u2019s life.<\/p>\n
